Strong literacy skills are the cornerstone of academic success across all subject areas. At Ascend Academics LLC, we offer both in-person and online sessions to support students who struggle with reading and spelling. Children who struggle with reading require a specialized, highly trained, certified educator to provide effective, evidence-based instruction.
Kristin Vito is a certified Dyslexia Specialist, holding the highest level of certification awarded by the International Dyslexia Association. She is also a certified Associate Educational Therapist and maintains a current Wyoming Teaching Certificate with a Reading Endorsement.
Kristin is trained in both Lexercise and the Wilson Reading System, and provides targeted intervention in reading, spelling, and writing for clients of all ages—from pre-K through adulthood. She specializes in working with individuals with diagnosed or suspected dyslexia and/or dysgraphia.
Background
Kristin Vito is an enthusiastic, experienced, and highly credentialed educator. She holds a Master of Education in Reading from Regis University and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Vanderbilt University. Kristin has extensive training and certification in Structured Literacy, including Orton-Gillingham and Multisensory Teaching approaches. Her background includes years of successful instruction in both in-person and virtual settings.
