Reading and Spelling Intervention

Ascend Academics LLC offers in-person and online sessions to support students with struggles in reading and spelling. Personalized, positive, engaging, multisensory, and evidence-based instruction is used to promote growth and confidence.

Expertise

Kristin Vito is certified as a Dyslexia Specialist, the highest certification level given by the International Dyslexia Association. She is also a certified Associate Educational Therapist and holds a current Wyoming Teaching Certificate with a Reading Endorsement.

Kristin is trained in Lexercise and the Wilson Reading System. She provides reading, spelling, and writing intervention to clients of all ages, from pre-K through adult. She specializes in working with those with diagnosed or suspected dyslexia and/or dysgraphia.

Background

Kristin is an enthusiastic, experienced, and credentialed educator. Her background includes years of successful teaching in both in-person and virtual settings. She earned her Master of Education in Reading degree from Regis University and her Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Vanderbilt University. She is a certified Associate Educational Therapist with AET and has extensive training and certification in Structured Literacy, which includes Orton-Gillingham and Multisensory Teaching.

Ascend Academics LLC believes in reducing financial barriers to receiving needed educational support. Local essential workers and sliding scale rates are available. Please inquire if you may qualify.
